The cost of IVF and ICSI-IVF is high because they are complex, technical and labor-intensive procedures. The payment options for self-pay patients are designed to maximize your choices and minimize the expenses. Please note that charges for services provided before your baseline ultrasound and after your embryo transfer are not included in the totals.
As you can see on the graph below, you are much more likely to achieve a live birth with more than one attempt. For this reason we offer a two-cycle IVF payment plan which significantly reduces the overall cost of repeat treatments by comparison with a traditional pay-as-you-go plan. The two-cycle plan is of particular benefit to patients likely to have multiple extra embryos to freeze.
IVF treatments differ in the fertilization technique used: sperm are either injected into eggs through ICSI or are simply placed with eggs and need to fertilize the eggs on their own. Hence we offer 3 treatments:
- No-ICSI-IVF - none of the eggs undergo ICSI
- Split-ICSI-IVF - some of the eggs undergo ICSI
- All-ICSI-IVF - all the eggs undergo ICSI.
The choice of one of these treatments is based upon clinical assessment of each patient with specific regard to the likelihood of failed fertilization if no ICSI is used. Patients undergoing their first IVF cycle generally have Split-ICSI-IVF whereas couples with male factor infertility have All-ICSI.
