Practice Philosophy

Our practice maintains an open door policy which welcomes patients from all walks of life and cultural backgrounds. We strive to be mindful and non-judgmental and try hard to balance the interests of all the parties involved: the Intended Parents, their future Children, Egg Donors and Surrogates.

We do not set limits upon the patients’ pursuit of a family on the basis of age, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation or the low likelihood of success. We provide all patients with clear and understandable scientific information about their options and chances of success as well as the physical, psychological and financial costs of each option. Thus they can make informed decisions about their own care.

Mutual trust is fundamental to the patient-doctor relationship and authenticity matters. For that reason, on this website and in all our promotional materials, we use only pictures of children and families who are in our program. The willingness of so many of our patients to help proves that our ties are strong and durable.

Frequently, our contact outlasts the length of fertility treatments and we get to watch “our embryos” grow up. Even though we cannot succeed in every case, we hope that our patient’s experience in the practice is of as much value to their personal growth as it is to ours.

Finances are central to many decisions about fertility treatments. We try to be careful with our patients’ money and never promote a more expensive treatment if a less costly alternative exists. We also believe that advanced fertility options should be available to people in the lower income brackets. For that reason we have developed more affordable options, such as sliding-scale fees for IVF, sharing of oocyte donors and embryo donation, which are uncommon in most other programs.
